“Growing up as the granddaughter of a Psychologist placed mental health at the forefront of my life from the start. Having that influence in my life made me compassionate at a very young age and I quickly became the “shoulder/listening ear” for family, friends, and even complete strangers. We as a people need to recognize and acknowledge those in need. So many people suffer alone unnecessarily, and I am excited to work with You Belong to change that with education, resources and advocacy.”
April has an established career in the Information & Technology field of the Commercial Real Estate industry. For the past 25 years she has participated in community service to include, tutoring, mentoring, food drives, benefit walks and feeding the homeless across multiple organizations. She is an alumnus of Prairie View A&M University with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology.
